Hisarcıklıoğlu gave a welcome speech, saying, “Congratulations on your new Board of Directors. We’ve congratulated you before but it is a much more joyous occasion to do it in person.”

Pointing out that they’ve come together as the Southern Cyprus, Hellenic Union of Chambers and TOBB in regards to the Greek-Cyprus-Turkish economy, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “I congratulate you for this endeavor and hope for the continuation of your success. We will engage in the next step of it in İstanbul on September 14^th.” Hisarcıklıoğlu also expressed his well wishes in regards to the Cyprus local elections.

KTTO Chairman Fikri Toros stated that many political problems in the world are solved through economic cooperation. Toros stated that they believe in a mission of cooperation first, followed by peace.

Expressing excitement for the tri-lateral cooperation between Greece, Cyprus and Turkey, Toros emphasized the importance of prioritizing the private sector and went on to point out the need for finding markets for the developing agricultural sector as well as the importance of the tourism sector for Cyprus.
