TOBB President and Eurochambres Deputy President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended Eurochambres Joint Members Meeting held at the TOBB Brussels Office. Hosting the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the most important names of the international business community.​

Kütahya and Counties Chamber and Exchange Joint Meeting was held at the Kütahya Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the attendance of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, during his speech at the foundation laying ceremony for the July 15th Martyrs Ceramics Factory stated that TOBB was the first civil society organization to declare that they would recognize no other authority than the will of the people and democracy immediately following the announcement of the coup on the night of July 15th.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce Chair Semih Barış and Council Chair Akın Doğan. ​

According to the August report prepared by Media Tracking Center (MTM) for Economy Journalists Association (EGD), the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and TOBB are at the top of the list.​

Attending the “Inclusive and Interconnected Growth” session in Hangzhou, China, for the B20 China Summit, TOBB President and B20 Turkey Chair M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized the need to clear the way for trade.​

In China alongside the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the G20 Summit, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening ceremony of the Business20 Summit.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received the Japanese Ambassador appointed to Ankara in April 2016, Hiroshi Oka, at his office. During the reception, Hisarcıklıoğlu congratulated Ambassador Oka for his appointment and expressed his belief that relations with Japan will continue to grow stronger.​

Speaking at the Joint Council Meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that TOBB’s aid campaign for democracy martyrs has reached 27 million TRY. Stating that the campaign is still underway, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This community has once again broken records in the campaign began by our government for the veterans and martyrs of the historic fight for democracy. TOBB, with its Chambers and Exchanges, has collected 27 million Turkish liras in donations and continues to collect more. I am immensely proud of this community.”​

In his August 30th Victory Day address, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that in 1922, the sound defeat of the forces of invasion with the Great Assault is the reflection of this nation’s love of freedom and irrepressible spirit.​
