Business committee agreement signed with Sudan and Guinea business communities

During Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture’s (ICCIA) 31st General Assembly Meeting in Kampala, Uganda, TOBB, Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation (SBEF) and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Artisans of Guinea (CCIAG) signed an agreement for a business committee.​

Turkish-African Chamber approves 2015-2016 action plan

Established by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and the Union of African Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Professions (UACCIAP), the Turkish-African Chamber approved its 2015-2016 Action plan at its meeting in Kampala, Uganda. ​

We must “learn” in order to stay on top of a changing world

Attending the Council Members Seminar held on the 24th, 25th and 26th of April, 2015, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stressed that the world is rapidly changing, “We must all learn perpetually from the cradle to the grave because life goes by so fast and the world is continually changing.”​

Hisarcıklıoğlu called for start to the FTA negotiations with Australia

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the reception held in İstanbul in honor of the Prime Minister of Australia, Tony Abbot. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the two countries’ bilateral trade volume is well below its full potential and urged that the negotiations for the free trade agreement (FTA).​

“Sovereignty and independence are our greatest inheritance”

In a message regarding the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children’s Day, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that sovereignty and independence are our nation’s greatest inheritance, “Our gratitude for the great Atatürk and his comrades in arms who sacrificed their lives for the independence of our sacred homeland will last throughout the generations. Our children are the greatest protectors of this inheritance.”​

The sectors undergo a check-up

Representatives of 60 sectors met with Prime Minister Davutoğlu and various other Ministers at the 8th Turkey Sector Economy Summit held at TOBB. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu hosted the Summit wherein sectors underwent a check-up. Problems and proposals were clearly set forth.​

The Prime Minister will meet with 60 sector councils at TOBB

Representatives of 60 sectors will meet with the Prime Minister and various Ministers at TOBB. The Sector Economy Summit hosted by Hisarcıklıoğlu will present opportunity for the representatives of sectors ranging from construction to education; banking to agriculture, to relay their problems first hand to the government.​

Praise for Turkey from the IMF and the World Bank

During his speech at the “Towards a Global Steering Mechanism” Plenary Conference held by B20 as a part of G20 Sessions which took place in Washington D.C., USA, TOBB and B20 Turkey Chair M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they do not want to be attending the G20 Summit in Antalya in November with just a long list of wishes.​
