Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi and Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkci attended the last council meeting of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) in 2016. In his address the guest President Thaçi said, “July 15th is a black day. I said it then and I say it now: No tank can crush the power of this nation. Whoever Turkey considers terrorists, so do we.”​

TOBB will lead an business expedition to Qatar along with businessmen. TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that Qatar is the country with the highest per capita national income, stating that they want to increase trade relations with the Gulf Region.​

Minister of Labor and Social Security Mehmet Müezzinoğlu and members of the Turkey-EU Joint Consultation Committee (JCC) came together at the TZOB Hotel hosted by Şemsi Bayraktar, Chairman of Union of Agricultural Chambers of Turkey (TZOB). Attending the meeting in addition to Minister Müezzinoğlu were members of the Turkey-EU JCC TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Hak-İş General Director Mahmut Arslan, Memur-Sen General Director Ali Yalçın, TİSK Chairman Kudret Önen, Turkey Kamu-Sen Chairman İsmail Koncuk and Ergün Atalay, Türk-İş General Director.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received the newly elected presidents of sector councils at his office.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, speaking at the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry Awards ceremony attended by Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek and Customs and Trade Minister Bülent Tüfenkci, put emphasis on unity and solidarity, stating that Gaziantep has succeeded on many fronts despite all manner of difficulties.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce (GTO) to wish the new board success. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that as long as there is unity and solidarity, there will be success; that the city has entrepreneurial spirited, hardworking people. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he believes Hıdıroğlu and the board will conduct good works for Gaziantep.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke at the opening ceremony of the Akdeniz University Manavgat Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tourism Faculty and stated that the economy of a city improves thanks to unity and solidarity, saying that he wants to see this unity and solidarity in Antalya all over Turkey.​

The Southeastern Anatolia Region Meeting was hosted and presided over by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at the TOBB Twin Towers. Chairpersons of the Southeast Anatolian chambers and commodity exchanges, council chairs and secretaries general attended the meeting.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu issued a call for more use of the internet in commerce, pointing to the importance of e-commerce in his speech at the Tech Dates Meeting.​

Problems in the construction sector were discussed by IMKON at the workshop held at TOBB. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that contractors demand the sector to be disciplined.​
