German business world promises to develop cooperation
Turkish and German business worlds met for a business dinner hosted by TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu. The Union of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) President Hans Heinrich Driftmann stated that they have had an exciting time in Turkey, saying, “We’ve come to learn not teach. We will develop our cooperation, this I promise.”

German investors looking for Turkish partners
News of investment are brought by the German businessmen delegation visiting the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). German Union of Chambers of Commerce and Commodity Exchanges (DIHK) President Hans Heinrich Driftmann and the businessmen delegation led by him who were invited to Turkey by the TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu want to assess investment opportunities in Turkey.

Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati
In İstanbul for the Alliance of Civilizations meeting, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu assessed the latest developments in the Middle East and stated that attaining stability in the region would increase the trade of both countries.

Agreement to prevent double taxation with Brazil coming soon
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with the Brazil Vice President Michel Temer. Hisarcıklıoğlu explained to Temer that they wish for a free trade agreement; Temer stated that an agreement to prevent double taxation would be passing through parliament soon.

In his assessment of the Turkey’s Best Entrepreneurs Business Plan Competition held by the Global Entrepreneurship Program organized by TOBB and the USA Foreign Affairs Ministry, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they put great importance on the dynamism of entrepreneurship. Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed that the winners of the competition have great opportunities ahead of them.

World trade must be liberated in order to reach prosperity
Speaking at the “Difference of Alliance” high level discussion of the Alliance of Civilizations Partners Forum held under Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s patronage, TOB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “There’s a world of consumption, an increasing world population and as a result, a world of increasing unhappiness. The most important problems in the world are poverty and privation. World trade must be liberated in order to reach prosperity. And peace is needed for trade.”
