Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Vice President Fuat Oktay received the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Turkey Economic Policy Research Foundation (TEPAV) Director Güven Sak.​

The Consultation Meeting on Eximbank Implementation and Processes was held via video conference with the participation of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Deputy Minister of Commerce Rıza Tuna Turagay, Eximbank General Manager Ali Güney and Eximbank bureaucrats.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that they strongly condemn those trying to meddle with Turkey's rightful and national issue in the Eastern Mediterranean from thousands of kilometers away, saying, “Turkey is able to protect all air, land and sea borders. We will defend our rights arising from international law in the Aegean and Mediterranean.”​

During a meeting attended by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Deputy Minister of Family, Labour and Social Services Ahmet Erdem, Deputy Health Minister Prof. Dr. Muhammet Güven, Ceramic Federation President Erdem Çenesiz and ministry officials via video conference, problems of the ceramic industry were discussed and solution proposals presented. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) president M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of TOBB ETU, met with the heads of the board of trustees of Karatay University, Izmir University of Commerce, Piri Reis University, Istanbul University of Commerce, and the rectors of İstanbul University of Commerce at a meeting via video conference.​

The annual meeting of the Joint Members Committee of the Union of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) was held via video conference.​

The 39th meeting of the Turkey-EU Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) was held in hybrid format on 8 September 2020. Turkey-EU JCC Co-Chairs M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Panagiotis Gkofas co-chaired the meeting, European Commission Vice President Margaritis Schinas and Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı also attended the meeting.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with TÜBİTAK Vice President Ahmet Yozgatlıgil. During the courtesy visit held at TOBB ETU a mutual exchange of views took place.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the meeting of the TOBB Turkey Creative Sector Council held online via video conference. Hisarcıklıoğlu consulted with sector representatives. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Vice President of the Islamic Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture (ICCIA), attended the ICCIA General Assembly held via video conference.​
