The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Ministry of Commerce Advisory Council Review Meeting held in Istanbul presided over by Trade Minister Ruhsar Pekcan. Hisarcıklıoğlu said in his speech, “At a time of increased instability in the global economy and rising geopolitical risks, the period free of elections are a golden opportunity for the 82 million for Turkey to progress towards its goals.​

Attending the Turkey-EU Business Dialogue Project Chamber Pairing Project Kick Off Meeting, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and European Business and Industry Association (EUROCHAMBRES) Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that more dialogue is necessary, expressing their view on the importance of this project in that it brings together the actual actors of Turkey-EU integration. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We have secured a 2.5 million Euro grant support from the EU for this project. 30 Chambers and Exchanges from Turkey have been paired with 28 from the European Union in order to actualize 19 projects together.”​

MODEF 2019 41st International İnegöl Furniture Fair opened with the attendances of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat, Bursa Metropolitan Mayor Alinur Aktas, İnegöl Mayor Alper Taban, İnegöl Commerce and Industry Chamber President Yavuz Uğurdağ as well as neighboring provincial and district chamber / commodity exchange presidents.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, expressing his wish for the local election results to benefit our country, said, “Elections are done. We're entering a period of 4.5 years without elections. From now on, Turkey's economy should be the first item on the agenda. There are many steps to be taken in the economy; we have a lot to do. We should turn this period into a period of uninterrupted action.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the funeral of Türk-İş former President Mustafa Kumlu.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Vice President Fuat Oktay, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Prime Minister Tufan Erhürman, Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, Family, Labor and Social Services Minister Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk and TRNC Labor Minister Zeki Çeler who attended the Cyprus Peace Operation National Merit Medal Ceremony held at TOBB Twin Towers. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, at the Association of Vegetable Oil Industries (BYSD) 39th Ordinary General Assembly, drew attention to the fact that 85% of the vegetable oil consumed in Turkey is sunflower oil, said, “Vegetable oil industry depends on imports. We are losing billions of dollars every year. We need to double our sunflower cultivation areas.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the joint meeting of the chambers and commodity exchanges of the Ankara province. Attending the meeting hosted by Ankara Chamber of Commerce Gürsel Baran were Ankara Chamber of Industry President Nurettin Özdebir and Ankara Commodity Exchange President Faik Yavuz as well as Presidents of Beypazarı, Çubuk, Haymana, Polatlı and Şereflikoçhisar Chambers and Commodity Exchanges. TESK President Bendevi Palandöken also took part in the meeting.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Kahramanmaraş Chamber of Commerce and Industry and convened with the Board Members, Councilors as well as the Women and Young Entrepreneurs Board Members.​

Speaking at the Regional Consultation Meeting held in Kahramanmaraş the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu drew attention to the employment campaign, talking about the incentives provided in this regard. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “As TOBB, Chambers and Commodity Exchanges, we are engaged in this mobilization in 81 provinces and 160 counties. We have invited all our businesses to participate in the campaign. Here, I call again on our business world and employers in all surrounding cities, especially in Kahramanmaraş.
