The funerary prayer was held at the Kayseri Hunat Mosque. After the prayer, Kumlu was interred at the Asri Cemetery.

Also attending the funeral were Governor Şehmus Günaydın, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Çelik, AK Party Kayseri deputies Taner Yıldız, İsmail Tamer and İsmail Emrah Karayel, Melikgazi Mayor and Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate Memduh Büyükkılıç, Kocasinan Mayor and Metropolitan Municipality Mayor candidate Ahmet Çolakbayrakdar, representatives of political parties, citizens and relatives of Kumlu.
