The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice President Myron Brilliant discussed the work carried out within the scope of COVID-19 via video conference. Hisarcıklıoğlu and Brilliant evaluated the areas of work for the coming period.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu urged businesses affected by the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak to apply for 'short work allowance' instead of sending their employees on unpaid leave.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) will support the “Turkey Will Suffice for Turkey” campaign with 10 million liras. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu announced that, as TOBB they will provide 10 million liras in support for the "Turkey Will Suffice for Turkey" National Solidarity Campaign launched under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.​

Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Regulation of Transport Services has postponed the expiry of vehicle inspection authorization documents due to ending inspection periods as of March 11th. The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his tweet on the issue, drew attention to the demands of the chambers and exchanges on the subject.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) High Coordination Board, Strategy Development High Council Members and Council Presidents, chaired by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu discussed measures to reduce the effects of the coronavirus outbreak on the economy.​

The meeting of the General Administrative Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) was held via video conference under the chairmanship of TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Members of the General Administrative Council expressed their views on reducing the effects of the COVID-19 virus outbreak on the economy and conveyed the demands of the members.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) has postponed the dues that member companies must pay to chambers and commodity exchanges by the end of June until the end of October.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu urged businesses affected by the new type of coronavirus (Covid-19) to protect its employees and not reduce employment, said “The resource you need is in the Short Work Allowance.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said that the dark virus corridor can only be navigated together, adding that the “Economic Stability Shield” package includes steps on employment and social structure as well as employment and social structure, and that they expect changes in legislation in favor of workers and businesses to come into force as soon as possible.​
