Maintaining military power is through strong economy and investment in high technology

Speaking at the Turkey Defense Industry Council meeting which was attended by the National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that Turkey is the owner of the world's 9th most effective military force, said, “The way to maintain this power in the near future is a strong economy and investment in high technology. We have taken rapid steps in this direction in the last period.”​

Historical transformation for customs gates

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the TOBB subsidiary, Customs and Tourism Enterprises Co. Inc. (GTI AŞ) has invested over 500 million USD towards the modernization of customs facilities to date, “Every year, a cost of over 20 million USD for the customs facility maintenance, lighting and operational expenses arise.”​

Turkey Economic Council held at TOBB with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech at the TOBB Turkey Economic Council's opening held at the Twin TOBB Towers with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and various ministers, stated that a bold and new investment move would bring Turkey to the fore in global competition. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This wheel will get over this bump. Allah willing, we will continue on our path. Together, we will move Turkey towards rapid growth.”​
