Faik Yavuz, born in 1953 in Şereflikoçhisar Büyük Damlacık Village, Ankara, completed his primary school in Büyük Damlacık village, secondary school in Şereflikoçhisar, high school at the Ankara Cumhuriyet High School and his education in Mathematics department in Gazi Faculty of Education. Yavuz, who is married, has been active in the family business of livestock and meat trade since his higher education years.

 

Yavuz was a member of the Ankara Commodity Exchange Assembly and Board of Directors between 1981-1985. He was elected to the Ankara Commodity Exchange Assembly in 1995 and Deputy President in 1997. Yavuz, who started to serve as the President of the Board of Directors in 1999, was elected Member of the Board of Directors of TOBB in May 2000 and Deputy President of the Board of Directors in May 2002 and continued this duty until 2013. Since August 2013, he has been serving as Treasurer of TOBB Board of Directors. He also still holds office as President of the Board of Directors of Ankara Commodity Exchange.
