The COP31 Business Forum Advisory Council High-Level Roundtable Meeting was held in New York with the participation of Murat Kurum, Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change; Fatma Varank, COP31 CEO and Deputy Minister; M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and Chair of the COP31 Business Forum; members of the Consultative Council, and co-chairs of the Workgroups.​

Commenting on the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated, “We heard firsthand the business community’s initial assessments of the #COP31 Action Agenda announced at the United Nations on Monday, as well as their expectations from the #COP31 Presidency. We then aligned the initial findings of our seven working groups with the priorities of the Action Agenda one by one. In the transition from goals to implementation, the business community is putting its own contributions on the table in exchange for every proposal it submits to governments. We will continue to work with this approach until Antalya.”
