Publishing a message regarding the martyring of 4 of our soldiers in Hakkari and 8 policemen in Karlıova, Bingol, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu condemned the attacks and stated that the conscience of humanity would never forgive those who commit terror and end innocent lives.

Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Unity and solidarity will destroy the heinous game being played on our country. Turkey has great dreams and hopes. No bullet can put down our fraternity. The only thing lost is the humanity of those who hope to profit from terror.”

In his message Hisarcıklıoğlu said:
“Last night, an explosion during transportation of a military unit on the Hakkari-Çukurca road resulted in the martyring of 4 and wounding 5 soldiers. Earlier today, a mine took the lives of 8 and wounded 9 police officers in Bingöl’s Karlıova county. We are gravely grieved by this loss. This atrocity perpetrated by people is impossible to accept as a human.

How can you bear to bring anguish to the hearts of mothers and the innocent eyes of children? May all humanity condemn terrorism. These attacks which target the security forces of our country who strive to allow all citizens of this country to sleep in peace are, without a doubt, aiming to disturb our solidarity and unity and to create fear and anger.

The mortar that holds this nation together is different. Those who hope to profit from terror will eventually realize that those who have shared these lands for centuries have lived in peace and freedom. They will continue to do so forever. This truth cannot be changed by any heinous game.

On behalf of the Turkish business world, I condemn terrorism and its supporters. I pray for the grace of Allah upon those who have sacrificed their lives for their homeland and present my condolences to their families, loved ones and our great nation. I wish the wounded a speedy recovery.”
