Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the EUROCHAMBRES Chairmanship Council meeting

EUROCHAMBRES Vice-Chairman and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the European Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) Chairmanship Council.​

 

Also attending the meeting were EUROCHAMBRES Chairman and Italian Chambers Union President Alessandro Barberis, EUROCHAMBRES Honorary President and President of the Austrian Chamber of Economy Cristoph Leitl, French Chambers of Commerce and Industry Federation President André Marcon, British Commerce Chambers President Martyn Pellew, and representatives from the German Chambers Union, Spanish Chambers Union, Polish Chamber of Commerce and the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.

Making assessments after the meeting, EUROCHAMBRES Vice Chairman and TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “In general, unemployment, especially young unemployment and economic growth are the primary problems in all European countries. In regards to a solution, occupational training comes to the forefront.”

EUROCHAMBRES, the umbrella corporation of chambers of commerce and industry of Europe, is attended by 2 international chamber organizations in addition to 45 European countries. EUROCHAMBRES represents 2,000 commerce and industry chambers and 20 million establishments throughout Europe.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, elected for the first time to the office of Vice-Chairman in 2009, was reelected in 2011. Hisarcıklıoğlu is the first Vice Chairman in the Chairmanship Council, the first non-EU member country Vice Chairman, with its members from 9 European countries including Turkey.
