Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Held in partnership by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey and Adana Chamber of Industry (ADASO), the a meeting with the goal of providing information on the “Participation of Syrians in the Job Market as Part of Temporary Asylum” was held at the Adana Chamber of Industry.​

Aegean Region Industry Chamber held a meeting in order to provide information regarding the work permits and employment for the Syrian refugees present in Turkey which entered into effect as of the 15th of January, 2016.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Board Vice Chair Halim Mete, stating that TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has not contacted CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in regards to the 72nd TOBB General Assembly, directly or via proxy, and said, “CHP Former Ankara Parliamentary Representative Sinan Aygün called Hisarcıklıoğlu while he was meeting with Kılıçdaroğlu, handing the phone over to Kılıçdaroğlu while speaking with Hisarcıklıoğlu.”​

The 9th Local Schengen Group Business Community Visa Briefing Meeting organized by the TOBB and EU Delegation was held at the Tekirdağ Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey Board Vice Chair Halim Mete attended the thirdLogistics Coordination Council meeting.​

Representing the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz attended the “Council of State and Administrative Procedure Day Symposium” held in honor of the 148th anniversary of the Council of State.​

Prior to the 72nd General Assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), TOBB’s commissions and councils convened with the attendances of TOBB’s Board of Directors.​

Formed by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey of 9 members for two years, the TIR Committee convened under TIR Committee Chair Halim Mete.​

TOBB Turkey International Contractor Services Council convened in Ankara to discuss the issues of the sector and to elect the council board. Mithat Yenigün was elected Council Chair.​

In Bosnia Herzegovina to attend the 7th Sarajevo Business Forum, TOBB Board Member Cengiz Günay visited the Herzegovina Foreign Trade Chamber.​
