Hisarcıklıoğlu requested from the EU that the membership process be sped up
Speaking at the Turkey-EU Joint Consultation Committee (KİK) meeting, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Turkey joining the EU is as important as the formation of the EU and requested that the membership process be sped up. Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “Turkey gaining momentum in its reforms is connected to the revitalization of the EU membership negotiations.”

“Leman Çıdamlı and Kamil Sönmez are names which shall not be forgotten”
TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that the loss of the master theatre actor Leman Çıdamlı and the famous Turkish Folk Music singer Kamil Sönmez have deeply saddened Turkey and said, “Leman Çıdamlı had dedicated his life to the theatre and cinema; Kamil sönmez to Turkish Folk Music. We will always remember them with love and respect. Their names have been indelibly written in our hearts.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Turkic American Alliance (TAA)
The President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Assembly of Turkish American Associations as part of his Washington D.C. visit. Following the presentation providing information regarding the association’s activities, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “It is very gratifying to have such active institutions in the USA; your works have made us proud.”

TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the US Chamber of Commerce President Donohue as part of his Washington D.C. program. TOBB Board Vice President Bülent Koşmaz, TOBB Board Member Harun Karacan and the TOBB Delegation accompanying them attended the visit which took place at the US Chamber of Commerce.
