Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

At the Western Mediterranean Regional Meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council held via video conference, projects for the region and the issues that should be implemented were discussed.​

Members of the Turkish Side of the Turkey-Bulgaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum met via video conference. Turkish Ambassador to Sofia Aylin Sekizkök and Sofia Trade Advisor Sinem Taştan also attended the meeting, which was chaired by Cengiz Günay, TOBB Board Member and Co-Chair of the Turkey-Bulgaria Chamber of Commerce and Industry Forum.​

According to the Domestic Goods Communiqué (SGM 2014/35), which was prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology in accordance with Article 63 of the Public Procurement Law No. 4734 and published in the Official Gazette dated September 13, 2014 and numbered 29118, TOBB approved 1,672 Domestic Goods Certificates in December 2020.​

The meeting of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Cement and Cement Products Council was held via video conference with the high level of participation of industry representatives under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Şaban Aziz Karamehmetoglu and Tamer Saka, Turkey Cement and Cement Products Council President.​

An evaluation meeting was held via videoconference about the "Virtual Tourism Forum," which is planned to be held in the first half of 2021 in cooperation with UNWTO and TOBB, of which the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) is a Board Member and an Affiliate Member. During the meeting, the future of the tourism sector and cooperation with the United Nations World Tourism Organization were discussed by exchanging ideas about the content of the event.​

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in December 2020 decreased by 10% (450 units) compared to December 2019 (4,508 units) to 4,058 units.​

The fourth of the 'TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Board Sector Meetings' organized with the participation of the Members of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council was held for the insurance sector.​

The Tax Advisory Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) was convened by video conference on December 29th, 2020 under the chairmanship of Fatih Dural, Council President, with the participation of TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç. ​

Trainings on “Disaster Resilience” and “Disaster Awareness” were organized via videoconference for chambers/exchanges.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB)Vice President Tamer Kıran attended the Digikamp Digital Transformation Competition promotion meeting held at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Office.​
