The number of capacity reports approved in 2020 decreased by 3.5% compared to 2019.

Of the 4,058 capacity statements approved in December; 1,155 were in Istanbul, 266 in Izmir, 258 in Ankara, 233 in Bursa, 176 in Konya, 175 in Kocaeli, 161 in Gaziantep, 94 in Adana, 85 in TekirdaÄŸ, 78 in Denizli.

The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database increased by 4.8% (3,596 units) to 79,062 in December 2020 from 75,466 in December 2019.

According to The Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees increased by 4.1% (129,640 units) from 3,171,519 in December 2019 to 3,301,159 in December 2020.

Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.
