Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The Memorandum of Understanding for the Organized Industry Zone to be built in Jenin by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) has been signed. “The Jenin Organized Industry Zone Memorandum of Understanding” was signed by the Science, Industry and Technology Minister Fikri Işık and the Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister and National Economy Minister Muhammed Mustafa. According to the Memorandum, the Turkey’s 281st OIZ will be built in Palestine.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Bahrain Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr. Hasan Fakhro and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Khalid Al Moayyed. ​

Indonesian East Kalimantan Provincial Deputy Governor Mohammed Sa’bani and the delegation accompanying him attended the meeting held at the TOBB İstanbul Service Building.​

Attending the Afghanistan Workshop, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that Afghanistan is one of TOBB’s priorities in terms of policy, “We are undertaking significant projects to develop and normalize Afghanistan. The EastWest Institute, with its views in line with ours, is very important for us to this end.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the European Union membership process is a political one, “For the EU process to be successful, we need the leadership, supervision and guidance of courageous politicians.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the foundation laying ceremony for the TOBB Manisa Bülent Koşmaz Science High School held at the Manisa Anemon Hotel. Hisarcıklıoğlu stated in his speech that the fire of reform must be rekindled.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the opening of the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MTSO). Expressing his joy in the love shown for the former TOBB Board Vice President and MTSO President Bülent Koşmaz who passed on, Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke about the contributions Koşmaz made to the Turkish business world.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President and TOBB University of Economics and Technology (ETU) Board of Trustees Chairman Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “To the youth I say, do not trap yourselves in narrow mindsets, do not be swept up in fear or obsession. Not just the future but also the present belongs to you. You will put your mark on today.”​

TOBB Economic Policy Commission Member and Niksar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board President Mehmet Şöhretoğlu has passed away.​

In a message regarding the November 24th Teachers’ Day, TOBB President and TOBB University of Economics and Technology (ETU) Board of Trustees Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the country’s goals for the future can only be achieved through the efforts of teachers.​
