In his message regarding November 24th Teachers’ Day, TOBB President and TOBB University of Economy and Technology (TOBB ETU) Board of Trustees Chair M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that youth educated by self-sacrificing and successful teachers would lead the Turkey of tomorrow, “Our teachers paint our future. They are deserving of our gratitude and thanks.”​

In his speech at the Judiciary and Business Community Symposium in İstanbul, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that their desire as the Turkish private sector is the effective running of the judicial system, “A properly functioning judicial system engenders trust in the people. If people have confidence in individuals and institutions, economy will function better and more justly. In a country lacking confidence in these, no matter what you do, neither growth nor stability will be permanent.”​

The fifth g3 Forum, one of the most important events of the globally celebrated Global Entrepreneurship Week in over 150 countries took place in Suada, İstanbul.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu has been awarded the highest medal of merit from France, the Legion d’Honneur. Hisarcıklıoğlu expressed his pride receiving the decoration from the Republic of France.​

Following the Atlantic Council’s 7th Energy and Economy Summit Leaders Council dinner, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met separately with Atlantic Council Chair John M. Huntsmann and American Turkish Council Chair General James L. Jones.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the Atlantic Council’s 7th Energy and Economy Summit held in İstanbul.​

Reviewing the G20 Leaders Declaration announced at the G20 Antalya Summit, B20 Turkey Chair Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “This action plan represents the Turkish business community as well as the global business community, as such, we wholly support it as B20 Turkey.”​

B20 taskforces reviewed their work conducted throughout Turkey’s G20 Chairmanship at the Antalya Summit. B20 Turkey Chair M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that they’ve broken many records during Turkey’s G20 Chairmanship and that today they are holding their most widely attended meeting to date.​

A cooperation agreement has been signed between B20 and the Eurochambres Global Chamber Platform at the B20 Turkey Gala Dinner prior to the G20 Leaders Summit. Signing the agreement were B20 Turkey Chair and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Eurochambres Global Chamber Platform Chair and Eurochambres Honorary Chairman Christoph Leitl.​

The B20 Welcome Reception was held as a part of the G20 meetings at the Belek Tourism Zone of Antalya with the attendances of B20 Turkey Chair and TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Prime Minister Deputy Cevdet Yılmaz as well as other select guests.​
