Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Cizre Chamber of Commerce and Industry Chairman Saleh Sefinç and the delegation accompanying him visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Receiving information about the problems related to the trade and solution proposals in their cities from Sefinç, Hisarcıklıoğlu exchanged views with Salih Sefinç and his entourage. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the TOBB Arbitration Council meeting. Engaging in an exchange of views with the members of the Council members, Hisarcıklıoğlu, congratulating the achievements of TOBB Arbitration, stressed the necessity of introducing arbitration with regards to the benefits it would contribute to business life in Turkey. The meeting was held closed to the press. ​

European Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBRES) Extraordinary Meeting of Members, was hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of (TOBB) President and EUROCHAMBRES Vice President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu at the TOBB Brussels office.​

Speaking at the Turkey Defense Industry Council meeting which was attended by the National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that Turkey is the owner of the world's 9th most effective military force, said, “The way to maintain this power in the near future is a strong economy and investment in high technology. We have taken rapid steps in this direction in the last period.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with council members at the Chamber / Exchange Councilors Briefing Seminar.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu reported that the TOBB subsidiary, Customs and Tourism Enterprises Co. Inc. (GTI AŞ) has invested over 500 million USD towards the modernization of customs facilities to date, “Every year, a cost of over 20 million USD for the customs facility maintenance, lighting and operational expenses arise.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, as a part of his Tehran itinerary, along with the delegation accompanying him, visited the Iranian Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture Chamber and met with Chamber President Gholamhossein Shafee and his team.​

Receiving the Turkish business delegation headed by the Union Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s Vice President for Economic Affairs Mohammad Nahavandian gave his assessment regarding the economic relations between the two countries.​

Conducting talks in Kyrgyzstan, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, stating that they are ready to share their knowledge and skills with Kyrgyzstan, said, “Together, we will soon see a considerable gain in momentum in relations between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.”​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Ambassador Cengiz Kamil Fırat in Bishkek as a part of his Kyrgyzstan itinerary. Ambassador Fırat informed Hisarcıklıoğlu in regards to the Kyrgyzstan economy and expressed his gratification for Hisarcıklıoğlu's visit and contacts.​
