Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in September 2020 increased by 12.1% (455) to 4,202 compared to September 2019 (3,747). The number of capacity reports approved in the first 9 months of 2020 (31,816) decreased by 1.7% (557) compared to the first 9 months of 2019 (32,373).​

The Meeting of the Turkish Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Council of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) was held by video conference under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Mehmet Büyüksimitci and Council President Kutlu Karavelioğlu.​

According to the protocol signed between the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), a strategy document and action plan was created for the Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Councils.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkish Textile Industry Council Presidential Council Election Meeting was held via video conference chaired by TOBB Board Members Zeki Kıvanç and S. Selim Kandemir. ​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Retail Council Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Council President Alp Önder Özpamukçu with the participation of TOBB Board Member in Charge of Council Cengiz Günay, with the contributions of Adem Başar, General Manager of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Commerce, with great interest and participation of senior representatives of private sector, non-governmental organizations.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Apparel and Apparel Industry Council Presidential Court Election Meeting was held via video conference chaired by TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç.​

Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkish Food Industry Council and Beverage Industry Council convened with the participation of TOBB Board Members Cengiz Günay and Özer Matlı, chaired by Food Industry Council President Necdet Buzbaş and Beverage Industry Council President Feyhan Yaşar; moderated by Beverage Industry Council Advisor Prof. Dr. Nevzat Artık, with the participation of industry representatives via video conference in order to make a general evaluation of the sector.​

The Turkey-Qatar Business Forum was held via video conference in cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) and the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI). In the opening session of the Business Forum, which brings together more than 200 Turkish and Qatari companies, TOBB Vice President Selçuk Öztürk, Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Shaikh Khalifa Bin Jassim Al Thani, Turkish Ambassador to Doha Mehmet Mustafa Göksu and Qatari Ambassador to Ankara Salem Bin Mubarak Al-Shafi made speeches.​

TOBB Turkey Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) Council was convened via video conference with the participation of TOBB Board Member Engin Yeşil and Gökhan Tezel with the participation of Muhammed Demir, head of the EPDK Liquefied Petroleum Gases Department.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Natural Gas Council meeting was held under the chairmanship of TOBB Executive Vice President Selçuk Öztürk and Council President İbrahim Akbal. The main agenda of the meeting, which was held with the intense interest of the private sector and the public, was the discovery of natural gas in Sakarya.​
