TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Social Security Institution (SGK) Chairman Mehmet Selim Bağlı, Board Member Salih Kılıç and General Director of Insurance Premiums Ahmet Açıkgöz.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu received TOBB Turkey Automotive Inudstry Council Chair and TOFAŞ CEO Cengiz Eroldu at his offices. ​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his Mothers’ Day address, stated that a mother's love cannot be compared with anything on earth and said, “Mother's heart is the softest, most compassionate place in the world. Every good thing in the world is wrought by mothers.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the İzmir Branch of the IMEAK Chamber of Maritime Trade.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said in a speech at the annual Award Ceremony organized by the İzmir Chamber of Commerce, that he is proudest of such ceremonies, "Business life is already difficult. You must wrestle the lion for your daily bread. You will survive and succeed. This is not everyone's business. That's why everybody should appreciate the value of the companies which receive the awards.”​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the meeting of the Coordination Council for the Improvement of Investment Environment (YOIKK). Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that they put great importance on structural reforms as the business community and said that they are expecting quick decisions and implementation.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu attended the B20 Germany Summit held in Berlin on May 2-3, 2017.​

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his statement for the May 1st Labor and Solidarity Day, stated that workers and employers are inseparable principal elements and that Turkey will reach its goals through laborer-entrepreneurial solidarity.​

At the Geographically Marked Products Summit held at the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO), TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that geographical markers were claim ownership of local products.​

Nicaragua's legendary leader, President Daniel Ortega, received TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu. He congratulated President Erdoğan on the referendum. Ortega, praising Turkey's economy, urged the Turkish business community to invest in the country.​
