The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and board members, following the TOBB Board Meeting held at the Mersin Chamber of Maritime Commerce, visited the Tarsus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Tarsus Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Hasan Ruhi Koçak, Tarsus Commodity Exchange President Murat Kaya and members of the council.​

Chambers should also be mediators; stamp tax in contracts should be removed

Attending Izmir Chamber of Commerce meeting with the Minister of Justice Abdülhamit Gül, the Union Turkey Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that, so far, 62% of the 620 cases brought to the mediation system have concluded an agreement, “Results from litigation which would last years are now brought to resolution in days and weeks. In other words, access to justice has accelerated. Thus, grievances are reduced and the sense of justice is strengthened.” Hisarcıklıoğlu emphasized that as Chambers-Exchanges, they support this issue.​

Hisarcıklıoğlu met with students in İzmir

Attending the İzmir University of Economics 2019-2020 Academic Year Opening Ceremony and participating in the first lecture of the academic year, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, while standing on the importance of entrepreneurship, instilled hope in the students. “If you were to ask me to define the entrepreneur in a single sentence: for me, the entrepreneur is the person who crosses boundaries,” Hisarcıklıoğlu defined it as dreaming, setting goals, working hard, inventing and doing new things, branding, taking risks, not giving up and developing a culture of partnership.​

Educational institutions should become open innovation centers

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Turkey Education Council meeting took place at the TOBB Twin Towers with the participation of Education Minister Prof. Dr. Ziya Selcuk, TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, TOBB Vice President Selçuk Öztürk and Turkey Education Council President Dr. Yusuf Ekinci. During the meeting, representatives of special education institutions relayed the issues on their agendas to Minister Selçuk.​
