Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

In cooperation with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and IRU, Turkmenistan Customs Authorities held a webinar to provide information on the applications related to TIR Carnets and TIR-EPD procedures for transports to and through Turkmenistan.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) TIR Committee convened via video conference, chaired by Tamer KIRAN, Vice President of the Board of Directors, with the participation of TIR Committee members.​

In relation to the changes made to the preferential rules of origin legislation between Türkiye and the countries in the Europe-Mediterranean region, the first of the training sessions to be organized under the coordination of TOBB was held between January 28-31, hosted by the Mersin Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Adana Chamber of Industry.​

The first meeting of the year for the TOBB Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council (KGK) Western Mediterranean Region was held online.​

As part of the Chamber/Exchange Accreditation System activities, Strategic Planning Training was organized at TOBB on January 27-28, 2026, for accredited Chambers/Exchanges in the 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 7th term.​

Faik Yavuz, Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), and Cengiz Delibaş, Deputy Secretary General of TOBB, participated in the World Customs Day program.​

Tamer Kıran, Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), attended the EU-Türkiye Business High-Level Roundtable Meeting on “regional connectivity” held on January 26, 2026.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Automotive Industry Council, TOBB Executive Board Vice President Şekib Avdagiç, responsible for the Council, Deputy Directors General of the Ministry of Trade's Directorate General for International Agreements and the European Union Fatma Canan Nilüfer Dora and Atilla Bastırmacı, Director General of the Directorate General for Customs Legislation Compliance, Financial Cooperation, Union Programs Department Head Talip Engin Kaya, European Union Single Market and Green Deal Department Head Elif Berrak Taşyürek, Product Safety and Inspection Import Inspections Department Head Şeyma Bahçeci, and Ministry of Industry and Technology Automotive Industry Department Head Hasan Semiz.​
