The Registration, Evaluation, Authorization, and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Sub-Working Group Meeting was held in Ankara, chaired by Nihat Yaman, Director of the Chemicals Management Department at the General Directorate of Environmental Management under the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, with the participation of Ayşe Çelebi Doğan, Director of the TOBB Türkiye Sector Councils, and representatives from the Ministry of Trade. ​​

Organized in collaboration with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and the British Standards Institution (BSI), the webinar titled “Net-Zero Roadmap for Turkish Industry on the Road to COP31” was held online on July 22, 2026.​​

The meeting of the Workgroup on the Revision of Standards 3211-3 for Woven Fabrics and 3214 for Carpets and Rugs was held online with Chambers that had submitted comments on the revision process.​​​

Hosted by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), the interactive session titled “Economic Integration Among the Developing Eight (D-8) Countries: Current Status and Future Perspectives," was hosted by the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) in Karachi on July 23, 2026. Mustafa Bayburtlu, Deputy Secretary General of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), participated in the session online.​​

The 72nd General Assembly of the International Chamber of Commerce Türkiye National Committee (ICC Türkiye) was held at the TOBB Twin Towers Social Facilities. ​

Mustafa Bayburtlu, Deputy Secretary General of TOBB, met with Yusup Amansaryyev, Deputy Chairman of the Turkmenistan State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, and Azat Jelilov, Deputy Director of the Legal and Human Resources Department. ​

During the first six months of the year 2026 the number of newly established Companies and the number of sole proprietorships increased by 9,3% and 7,2% while the number of cooperatives decreased by 17,6%.​

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, as part of his visit to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), visited the 15,000-metric-ton capacity Güzelyurt Cold Storage Integrated Facilities, a project implemented under the coordination of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), and conducted an inspection.​​

A new era has begun in auto insurance practices. During technical inspections, compensation for loss of value will be calculated alongside the damage amount within the same claim file. With the regulation that took effect on July 1, claimants no longer need to initiate a separate process for loss of value in addition to the damage amount. ​​

The Tax Advisory Board of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) convened under the chairmanship of Board Chairman Fatih Dural, with the participation of TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç. During the meeting, recent amendments to tax legislation, current developments in tax practices, and issues of direct relevance to the business community were discussed. ​
