Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

Organized in collaboration with TÜRKPATENT and with the support of TOBB, the 5th International İstanbul Geographical Indications Summit, hosted by Metro Türkiye, brought together all stakeholders in the geographical indications ecosystem.​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) Paper and Paper Products Industry Council meeting was held in İstanbul, chaired by Council President Orhan Öğücü and attended by TOBB Board Member Zeki Kıvanç. ​​

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) TIR Committee met at the IMEAK Chamber of Shipping, chaired by TOBB Vice Chairman Tamer Kıran and attended by Committee members.​

An education and workshop event was held at the TOBB Conference Hall on November 14-15 to discuss the current situation and future vision of Trade Exchanges. The opening speech of the training program was delivered by Cengiz Delibaş, Deputy Secretary General of TOBB, and was attended by the Secretaries General of the Commodity Exchanges and personnel responsible for registration and transactions.​

The Machinery and Metal Industry Sector Information Meeting was held with the participation of TOBB and Chamber officials and experts.​

The 19th ICC Türkiye Arbitration Day Conference was held in İstanbul. Speaking at the event, Ali Kopuz, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), highlighted Türkiye’s rise in ICC arbitration, stating, “We expect the ICC to give more space to Turkish lawyers in its arbitrator appointments.” Kopuz also emphasized that the ICC Arbitration System is an important guarantee for the investment environment.​

Decision No. 1/2023 of the Joint Committee of the Regional Convention on Pan-European-Mediterranean Preferential Origin Rules No. 7556 and Decision No. 2006/10895 on the Principles Regarding the Implementation of the Customs Union Established Between Türkiye and the European Community, which is expected to be updated at the beginning of 2026, a training program was organized on November 12, 2025, under the coordination of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade. ​​

Sudan’s Minister of Finance Mohamed Nour Abdel-Daim and his delegation visited the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and met with TOBB Board Member Seyit Ardıç.​

The TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council (KGK) Southeastern Anatolia Regional Meeting was held at the Şırnak Chamber of Commerce and Industry.​

Tamer Kıran, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), and Ö. Volkan Ağar, Deputy Minister of Trade, participated in the afternoon session of the TOBB Trade Centers-Target Market US Summit and delivered their protocol speeches. ​
