M. Cihat Lokmanoğlu, born in 1954 in Mersin, completed secondary school and the first two years of high school at Tarsus American College, and high school 3rd grade in Acalanes High School in Lafayette, California.

 

After graduating from Cornell University (USA) in 1976 (Civil Engineer), he took his master’s in the same university in 1977 and became a civil engineer m. sc.

 

Lokmanoğlu, who has been a Member of the Board of Directors at the Mersin Maritime Association of Shipowners and Agents between 1986-1990, Lokmanoğlu, now the President of the Board of Directors of Mersin Chamber of Shipping since March 1989 as well as a member of TOBB Delegation, TOBB High Coordination Board Member and TOBB Court of Arbitration.

 

In addition, Lokmanoğlu has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Mersin Free Zone Operator Co. Inc. (MESBAŞ) since 1995, and between April 2000 and April 2018, as Chairman of the Board of Directors.

 

Lokmanoğlu is married with two daughters and has a commercial presence in shipping and cold air shipping sectors. Lokmanoğlu is very fluent in English.
