In his opening speech, Ali Kopuz noted that Turkey's Sector Councils have been operating since 2006, stressing that the council are the platform which bring together public, private sector and sectoral non-governmental organizations on a legal basis. Kopuz also conveyed his thanks to the Presidential Council, which also served in the previous period.

As a result of the election of the, Presidential Council, Arzum Electrical Household Appliances Inc. Chairman T. Murat Kolbaşı was unanimously elected as President, Karınca House Appliances Marketing Domestic and International Trade Co.Inc. Company Partner Ahmet Selman Yar was unanimously elected Vice President.

The meeting also saw discussion on the problems of the sector and the expectations for the new era by the participants.
