Turkish tourism representatives transfer experiences to Islamic countries on international platform

Ahmet Saygın Baban, Head of the Department of Sectors and Entrepreneurship of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), attended the video conference, which was held with the participation of 60 members at the international level within the scope of the training on, “Promoting Entrepreneurship to Increase Tourism Sector Competitiveness,” organized by the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Education Center (SESRIC) of Islamic Countries.
Baban provided information about the work of TOBB, its Sector Councils and Entrepreneurship Department and the Turkish Tourism Council.
Information regarding the Culture and Tourism Ministry's contributions to the tourism sector during the pandemic process, TOBB Tourism Council and the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) activities and the work carried out by TOBB for the sector were presented.
The trainings and workshops carried out within the scope of SESRIC Capacity Building Programs are carried to online platforms due to the Covid-19 pandemic, thus both continuing to meet the educational needs of member states and providing morale support during this difficult period.
Between the 8th and 12th of June 2020, a training program on the "Promoting Entrepreneurship to Increase the Competitiveness of the Tourism Sector,” for the benefit of the Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency.
Two members of the TOBB Turkish Tourism Council will also give speeches in the training program.
