Number of Industrial Capacity Reports increased by 1.2% in the first 4 months compared to last year

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in April 2020 decreased by 33.7% (1,344 units) compared to April 2019 to 2,649 units. The number of capacity reports approved in the first 4 months of 2020 increased by 1.2% (169 units) compared to the first 4 months of 2019.
The 2,649 capacity reports approved in April; 685 were held in Istanbul, 227 in Ankara, 172 in Izmir, 170 in Bursa, 117 in Konya, 101 in Kocaeli, 90 in Gaziantep, 81 in Tekirdağ, 74 in Adana, 66 in Mersin.
The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database increased by 7.5% (5,626 units) from 74,681 in April 2019 to 80,307 units.
According to Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees increased from 3,174,232 in April 2019 to 4% (127,676 units) in April 2020 to 3,301,908.
Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for: utilization of bench, device, machine and motive force in processing raw materials, semi-and complete products, property, content, composition or shape in full or in part; for businesses that produce a new product in serial or standard, and for those who operate and operate underground resources and produce software with information technology.
*Capacity reports whose validity periods will expire in March, April, May and June 2020 have been extended until July 1, 2020.
