In the first 3 months of 2020, the number of industrial capacity reports increased by 14.4% compared to last year

The number of capacity reports approved by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in March 2020 increased by 7.6% (321 units) compared to March 2019 to 4,217 units. The number of capacity reports approved in the first 3 months of 2020 increased by 14.4% (1,513 units) compared to the first 3 months of 2019. ​

Of the 4,217 capacity reports approved in March; 1,271 were in Istanbul, 286 in Ankara, 258 in Izmir, 239 in Bursa, 180 in Konya, 138 in Kocaeli, 157 in Gaziantep, 99 in Adana, 93 in Manisa, 82 in Denizli.

The total number of active capacity reports in the TOBB Industrial Database increased by 5.1% (3,749 units) from 74,196 in March 2019 to 77,945 units.

 

According to Active Capacity Reports, the total number of employees increased from 3,156,848 in March 2019 to 2.8% (88,816 units) in March 2020 to 3,245,664.

 

Capacity reports are compiled by local Chambers and approved by TOBB for businesses that produce a new product in a series or standard, and those who operate underground resources and produce software with information technology by processing raw materials, semi-and-complete products, features, content, composition or shape using driving force such as counters, devices, machinery.
