The 56th Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce was held on March 30th, 2019, in Nicosia. TOBB Board Member and Co-Chair of Turkey-TRNC Chamber of Commerce Forum M. Cihat Lokmanoğlu also participated in the General Assembly.​

Speaking at the General Assembly, Lokmanoğlu stated that TRNC is an important partner for trade, tourism, education and investment for Turkey and that the Turkey-TRNC Chamber of Commerce Forum established in conjunction with the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Trade is an important mechanism for joint economic ventures.
