Brazil has become an important market for Turkish businessmen

Brazilian Ambassador Marcelo Jardim met with the TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu for dinner. During the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu said that Brazilian President Dilma Roussef’s visit to Turkey in October is very gratifying. He stated that Brazil, the rising star of the Latin Americas, has increasingly become attractive to Turkish men and as a result, has become an important market.​

 

Informing the ambassador about the Turkish-Brazilian Business Council of DEİK, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that the trade figures between the two countries does not reflect the full commercial potential present and that Turkish businessmen are eager to take part in partnerships on construction, mining, food and textile projects.

Ambassador Jardim stated that they wish to be in closer relations with TOBB, the umbrella organization of the Turkish private sector, and that this cooperation could improve trade and economic relations between the two countries. During the visit, Marcelo Jardim said, “As a reference point, Turkey is an example of success and this success cannot be attributed to any single person, this is your nation’s success.
