Transport and logistics coordination meeting held at TOBB

Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Turkey Transportation and Logistics Coordination Council Meeting was held at TOBB. During the meeting attended by TOBB Board Vice President Tamer Kıran, Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure Deputy Minister Selim Dursun, Turkey Transportation and Logistics Council Chair Ö. Çetin Nuhoğlu, issues in the coordination of the sector were discussed.​

In his speech, TOBB Board Vice President Tamer Kıran said that the world has become a single market. “In the 1800s, access to the raw material for economic development was important. In the 1900s, access to energy and transportation gained importance. Internet connection and intellectual capital gained importance in the 2000s. Now everyone can reach each other, so they can sell goods. Globalization has greatly increased the importance of logistics opportunities. Globalized markets, such as transportation, storage, production and packaging, which are spreading all over the world, have increased the importance given to logistics.”
