Logisticians search for alternatives in reaching target markets

TOBB Turkey Transportation and Logistics Council and the Transportation, Seafaring and Communication Ministry joint meeting was held in Istanbul. Speaking at the meeting the TOBB Turkey Transportation and Logistics Council President Çetin Nuhoğlu stated that in order to take a greater share of the international trade and attract investments we need to integrate with the international transportation corridors. Nuhoğlu stated that this would be possible through creating alternatives to international transportation corridors enabling access to target markets.​

Attending the sector coordination meeting were TOBB Board Vice President Halim Mete, Deputy Undersecretary Talat Aydın, Land Routes Organization Director General Ali Rıza Yüceulu, Vice Director General Ahmet Güner and related branch heads.
TOBB Board Vice President Halim Mete stated that the TOBB Turkey Transportation and Logistics Council is one of the best examples of pre-competition cooperation, coming together as the shared interest of the logistics sector.
The Transportation, Seafaring and Communication Ministry Deputy Undersecretary Talat Aydın stated that problems and possible solutions were identified at first and that a transportation strategy plan is in preparation. Stating that work is following a main plan but that many revisions are necessary as current developments require it, Talat Aydın said that the coordination meeting is important in this regard that lets them listen to the sector.
