24.09.2018 / Ankara

Speaking at the Communication Points Training Program, TOBB Board Member Şaban Aziz Karamehmetoğlu underlined that they it is necessary to garner more knowledge and convert knowledge into competitive action in order to exist in the global arena. “We want Turkish companies to be more active in international trade and express themselves. This is the only way. Our exporter needs to be properly informed and encouraged. This must become our greatest task. We must be competing at the point of presenting the information to members.

The second of the Communication Points Training Program was held at TOBB Social Facilities. Speaking at the opening of the training program, TOBB Board Member Şaban Aziz Karamehmetoğlu pointed out that trade wars were on the agenda and economic competition was at a high level and that they set out with the aim of Global SMEs without borders. Karamehmetoğlu stated that they are carrying out studies to convert non-exporting SMEs into exporters. “In the last 3 years we have brought foreign experts to our country and informed our companies about foreign trade and we’ll continue to do so this year. In 2017, we organized foreign trade information seminars in 57 provinces hosted by our 60 Chambers. However, we said that this is not enough: Our government produces extensive incentives for investment and export. We have signed a new project which will make our Chambers the first stop in export by giving information about the target markets, customers and the country regulations. We’ve implemented the Intelligence in Foreign Trade Project.”
