Private security sector demands standards in electronic security systems

TOBB Turkey Private Security Services Council convened at the TOBB Istanbul Service Building to discuss issues of the sector. The Council President Hasan Gazi Özer bemoaned the lack of standards for electronic security services, saying, “The country has become a dump of electronic security systems. Legislation is required.”​

 

Özer stated that a shortage of spare parts was being experienced in this field and that a standard was needed in the field.

TOBB Turkey Private Security Services Council President Hasan Gazi Özer stated that the most important issue to be addressed in 2012 is the realization of a Private Security Profession Law. Calling everyone to contribute to this end, Özer said that there are also serious lacks regarding Worker Health and Security (İSG) and that employers are as accountable as business holders regarding accidents occurring at the workplace.

Stating that all their efforts are aimed at opening the way for the sector, TOBB Turkey Private Security Services Council President Hasan Gazi Önder said that work committees have been formed to this end. Vice President Oryal Ünver announced the committees; Public Relations Committee, Electronic Work Committee, KİK Work Committee, National Assembly Committee, Education Committee, Law Committee, Personal Valuables and Money Transportation Committee, R&D Committee.
