Speaking at the inauguration of the General Assembly held in Iran's capital Tehran, TOBB Vice Chairman Selçuk Öztürk said TOBB President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu could not attend the meeting due to other programs and relayed his greetings and best wishes.

He emphasized that increasing cooperation in the ECO region has become more important than ever, “Because the global system is going through a very different period. The codes of global economy and politics are changing completely. Almost all of the economic and political developments affecting the world are shaped around the ECO geography. If we do not want to be adversely affected by this process, the process should be well read and well prepared. If we read the process well and we increase our cooperation, we will profit.”
