During his at İŞKUR 9th Ordinary General Assembly, Board Member of The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) Yahya Toplu said “We have great country and a young population. Those, if we make it count, are tremendous opportunities.”

Stating that the path to utilising young population passes from increasing the opportunity for qualified education and employment Toplu said “Last year during TOBB Economy Council of Turkey we started the employment campaign under the leadership of our Esteemed President. Historic supports had been provided as the business world have never experienced before. Under the leadership of our Ministry, The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey has embraced this action. Despite all the negative developments at home and abroad, we increased the employment by 1.5 million people in 2017. We broke yet another new world record. We proved to everyone what can be achieved by public-private sector cooperation. We, on behalf of our private sector, whole-heartedly thank to especially our President as well as to our Prime Minister, Minister, Ministry Bodies and Bureaucrats.”

Referring the importance of employing right person for the right job as much as much as increasing the employment Yahya Toplu said that was named as productivity.

Underlining that İŞKUR had taken on a very important task within that area Toplu said “During this period we gladly follow superb transformation within İŞKUR regarding this matter. Many successfully works are being achieved. This organisation which was formed for seeking labourers for public institutions, has become a guidance body providing service not only for labourers or unemployed but also to the employers. Became a body working in co-ordination with private sector.”

Toplu said that UMEM Skill’10 project is the most pleasant example of that cooperation and that they continue the occupational and on-the-job trainings.

Remarking that they achieved a revolutionary work Yahya Toplu said “In cooperation with İŞKUR, we turned our provincial Chambers and Commodity Exchanges into İŞKUR service points. We brought the service to the doorstep of the employer.”

Telling that they have so much more work to do Yahya Toplu said “During this period we must increasingly maintain Public-Private sector cooperation. We know that most reliable and fair policies are only possible through that. We attach importance to labour market analysis are being carried out in co-operation with our Chamber and accordingly making the evaluation of the results jointly. Thanks to our ministry they keep their doors wide open for us. We continuously consult the matters in our hand. As long as this perceptive remains we believe that our future will be bright. We, as TOBB, shall continue to be in co-operation with our Ministry and her İŞKUR. We shall not avoid to shoulder the responsibility.”
