Construction industry's future discussed at TOBB

Turkish Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Board Member Hakan Ülken, stated that despite ths issues facing the countries in which Turkish contractors are active, the amount of new contracts received in 2016 have reached a volume of 12.7 billion USD.​

Speaking at the TOBB “Construction Sector’s Future Workshop”, Ülken said construction was at the top of Turkey's locomotive sectors.


Ülken pointed out that Turkey has a share of about 8% of its national income and 7% of its employment in construction as well as drawing attention to sectors that supply goods and services to the sector.
