Business and investment opportunities in Tanzania discussed at TOBB

Business and investment opportunities in Tanzania were introduced at business luncheon organized by TOBB and hosted by TOBB Vice Chairman Halim Mete. The meeting was attended by a delegation composed of businessmen accompanying Octavian Mshiu, Vice President of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tanzania.​

Speaking at the opening of the meeting held at TOBB Plaza in Istanbul, TOBB Vice Chairman of the Board Mete noted that the trade between Africa and Turkey has increased three times in the last 10 years. “Our trade has reached 17 billion USD a year,” Mete said, “In infrastructure investment, our contractors have fulfilled hundreds of contracts in African cities such as roads, buildings, airports, power lines, industrial facilities. We have completed more than 200 projects in Africa, amounting close to 60 billion USD. We now want to make another foray to Africa in the future.”
