İsmet Kasapoğlu re-elected Chairman of Mining Council

The Turkish Mining Council meeting was held in Ankara to elect the Council Presidency under the chairmanship of TOBB Board Member Şahin Bilgiç as well as to conduct a general evaluation of the sector.​

TOBB Board Member Şahin Bilgiç stated that the Turkish Sector Councils had been active since 2006 and that councils are the most important platform with which to bring together public, private sector and sectoral NGOs on a legislative basis.


Noting that the most important organizations in the sector are members of the council, Bilgiç stated that using this platform effectively can solve every problem. 


After Bilgiç's speech, İsmet Kasapoğlu was elected as Council Chairman in a unanimous vote.
