The “National Vocational Standard and National Proficiency Preparation Cooperation Protocol” signing ceremony took place at the TOBB Social Facilities.

Attending the ceremony were TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz, MYK Chairman Adem Ceylan, Ministry of Labor and Social Security EU and Financial Support Department Deputy Chief Burak Çağatay Doğan and interested parties.

TOBB Board Treasurer Faik Yavuz reported that the national vocational standards and national proficiencies for “project manager (level 5),” “public relations/communications expert (level 6),” and “facility/administration manager (level 6)” will be determined as part of the protocol.

Stating that employees having the Vocational Proficiency Certification would benefit the employers as well, Yavuz expressed admiration for MYK’s efforts in the proliferation of proficiency certification, stating that TOBB also stands ready to do its duty to this end.

MYK Chairman Ceylan stated that they TOBB’s biggest partners in this matter and that they will be preparing standards for dozens of professions in partnership with TOBB.

Reporting that 663 professions have had their standards specified and published on the Official Gazette to date, Ceylan stated that 49 organizations have examination and certification authority in regards to 37 “hazardous” and “highly hazardous” professions with MEYBEM holding authority for certification in 12 professions.

The cooperation protocol was signed by Ceylan and Yavuz following the speeches.
