Prof. Dr. Sultansoy awarded Turkic World Red Apple Award

TOBB ETU Engineering Faculty and Nanotechnology Engineering Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Saleh Sultansoy has been awarded the Turkic World Red Apple Award in the field of science.​

Prof. Dr. Sultansoy was selected for the award by the Turkic Asiaan Strategic Research Center (TASAM) for his scientific work and forming a vision through far sighted endeavors and efforts to keep the Turkish world abreast of the developments of the age.

Prof. Dr. Saleh Sultansoy received the award which he shared with Nobel Laurate Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar and Kazakhstan State History Institute Chair Prof. Dr. Bürkit Ayagan on June 2nd 2016, during the 5th Turkic World Forum in İstanbul.

Awarded for the third time this year, the award was previously awarded to Prof. Dr. Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu, Prof. Dr. Nevzat Yalçıntaş, Prof. Dr. Darhan Kıdırali, Toktogul Book team, Prof. Dr. Turan Yazgan and Prof. Dr. Viktor Butanayeva.

World Turkic Forum, led by TASAM aims to bring together the thought and opinion leaders of the Turkic diaspora spread throughout the world, think tanks and NGOs around various issues to deepen socioeconomic integration. The final remarks of the 2nd World Turkic Forum announced that Turkic World Awards would be awarded to individuals and organizations in order to honor them for their contributions to the Turkic world vision in the fields of state, diplomacy, business, science, culture, art, technology, strategy, sports and public administration policy, conducted since 2014.
