Memorandum of understanding to improve trade with Ghana signed

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu met with Ghana Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Muhammed Baba Yunus, who attended the 5 day long Chamber Academy Program in the TOBB Union Center, in bilateral talks.

During the meeting, the sectors presenting partnership possibilities in Turkey and Ghana were discussed. TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and Ghana Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Muhammed Baba Yunus signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at improving commerce and economic relations between the two countries.

TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he believed the memorandum would support the investment and partnership between the two countries and said that an Action Plan needs to be signed between TOBB and Ghana Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the future.

Stating that, like Turkey, Ghana is an agricultural country, Ghana Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Muhammed Baba Yunus said that he put importance on the development of the private as part of his duties and that Turkey presents itself as an example for this.

Saying that he would visit Turkey again, Muhammed Baba Yunus stated that he was impressed with the economic development of Turkey.
