Positive developments in regards to TIR in Russia

The Russian Federation Customs Directorate announced that the surety agreement signed by the TIR Guarantor Organization ASMAP in 2004 with the Russian Customs Directorate has been reorganized to include a list of border crossing customs open to TIR procedures.
It was also stated that Russian customs authorities and ASMAP would be working together to TIR system more trustworthy and transparent
The matter is being followed up by TOBB and further information will be disseminated to the transportation sector as they become available.
