Turkish and Danish CEOs meet for a roundtable meeting

Turkish and Danish CEOs met for a roundtable meeting as part of the President of the Republic of Turkey, Abdullah Gül’s Denmark state visit, discussing bilateral trade opportunities. President Gül spoke during the meeting, which was also attended by TOBB Vice President Çamur Ali Kopuz, said, “For the first time in history we are conducting a state visit on a presidential level. We are accompanied by a large delegation of businessmen.”​

Gül went on to emphasize his hope for the improvement of economic relations as a result of the state visit.

 

Karsten Dybvad, CEO of the Danish Industrialists Federation, stated that they are convened in order to actualize the untapped trade potential between the two countries.

 

Denmark Deputy Prime Minister, Internal Affairs and Economy Minister Margrethe Vestager expressed that they hope to strengthen political and social relations between the two countries, not just in regards to economic relations.

 

Attending the Turkey-Denmark Commerce and Investment Forum held by the Denmark Industrialists Confederation and TOBB following the CEO roundtable were President Gül, Denmark Crown Prince Frederik, Treasury Minister Mehmet Şimşek, Denmark Deputy Prime Minister, Internal Affairs and Economy Minister Margrethe Vestager and TOBB Vice President Çamur Ali Kopuz.
