Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

At the reception, TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu wished success for the new term efforts and conveyed his good wishes.

In his statement after the visit, İbrahim Burkay made the following remarks: “In a sense October and November are a period in which the business world in Türkiye received the results of 4 past terms. We have elections in 365 chamber exchanges. As Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we held our elections in the first week of October. In this new term, our 4-year mission started with the support of Bursa business world. In the name of Bursa business world and the development of the Turkish economy, Allah willing, we aim to do many good works in 4 years. As in the previous periods, we will implement many projects that will take us forward that will significantly strengthen both the Bursa economy and the Turkish economy. In this process, we will work with the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, which is the umbrella organization of Bursa Chamber of Commerce and Industry as well as 365 chamber exchanges, as before, with very intense cooperation from now on. We will manage all the demands of the Turkish business world together with our esteemed President Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and the relevant Ministries. In this sense, especially in the last 4 years, as you know, we have experienced a pandemic. In this period, not only the business world of Bursa, but also the business world of Türkiye and the world economy underwent a very serious test. In this, our Turkish business chambers, commodity exchanges and TOBB Presidency board members proved greatly successful. The most important factor in the Turkish business world coming out of the pandemic with the least damage was the time spent by our chambers, commodity exchanges and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye President Mr. Hisarcıklıoğlu. I would like to express my gratitude to all our chambers and commodity exchanges, our management, our assembly, our committees and our valuable colleagues, each of whom is an important representative of the district of the province where they are in their sectors and professions. I wish the new term to be auspicious for both us and all chambers and commodity exchanges in Türkiye. After the elections are completed in the 365-chambers and commodity exchanges, Allah willing, there will be a general assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye and there will be an election. I hope that the Turkish business world has indeed shown this unity everywhere with our Rifat President so far. After that, I hope they will show it in May. As our President said, we are entering the Turkish century. In the Century of Türkiye, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye and our 365 chambers and commodity exchanges will fulfill their responsibilities more than enough.”
