The joint statement is as follows:

“As a nation, we are facing events that hurt us and strike at our hearts.

As organizations spanning in every region of Türkiye and representing all segments of society, we strongly condemn the treacherous attack in Taksim, İstanbul.

We pray for the grace of Allah to our citizens who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to the wounded. We extend our deepest condolences to our nation.

Those who want to disturb the peace of our country have once again shown their ugly faces.

The terrorists and their supporters did the only thing they know. They carried out a treacherous terrorist attack.

Very few nations in the world have experienced such despicable and heinous acts.

The real goal of this grave incident is to disrupt the unity and integrity of our nation.

Let us not allow those who want to fan the flames of strife within us.

Let us strengthen our national unity by acting together in unity and solidarity.

This homeland, this country, this flag belongs to all of us.

Regardless of our origin, identity, faith, 84 million of us are all brothers.

We have been on this land for a thousand years. For a thousand years we have seen all manner of treachery.

But we foiled all traps that were set up.

We have always protected our unity and integrity.

The evil forces should know that today, as in the past, our beloved nation will defeat all heinous plans and scenarios as one body and one heart.

Terrorist organizations have no race, religion, sect or ideology.

Our state, of course, will hold accountable those who inflicted these pains on us.

Our duty as citizens is to be one voice and one heart against terror aiming to bring us to our knees.

It is our duty to protect our unity and solidarity more than ever, which is what those who perpetrate terror fear the most.

As professional and non-governmental organizations representing all segments of Türkiye, we are doing this as well.

We protect the unity, prosperity and future of our country.

We also condemn those who look with a covetous eye on the unity and solidarity of our country; those who attack us; all manner of terrorism with different names but the same aims; those who support terrorism and those who hope to gain from terror.

Those who aim to scare us with terror should know that we will not leave our country to these scoundrels and vagabonds.

Because we have the resilience and courage to overcome all adversity.

No force has been able to and will not destroy our unity and vitality in these lands.

They didn't succeed yesterday, they won't succeed today.

May Allah Almighty grant strength and patience to every individual who loves their homeland, and perpetuate our unity.
