The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited the Hopa Chamber of Commerce and Industry and attended the opening ceremony of the Compliance and Mediation Center.

At the consultation meeting hosted by Hopa CCI President Osman Akyürek, representatives of the Hopa business world shared their problems and solution proposals with TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. Hisarcıklıoğlu, who listened to the opinions and suggestions, said that he would share them with the executive authorities.

In his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out the importance of public administrators supporting entrepreneurs and ensuring that the city is in unity and solidarity. “If Hopa prospers, Artvin will prosper. If Artvin grows, Türkiye grows,” M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu said, thanking the presidents of chambers and commodity exchanges who worked selflessly during the pandemic and immediately conveyed the problems of their members to the executive authorities.

Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that he took part in the management of many business organizations abroad and said, “They always asked me there. How did you get through the pandemic with little damage? We have survived with your selfless work.” Hisarcıklıoğlu pointed out that in addition to the rise in input prices such as fertilizer and feed in agriculture, drought can also turn into a very big problem. Pointing out that the working capital need of companies has also increased due to high inflation, the TOBB President said, “We also convey to the government that new loan and KGF surety loan packages are needed to support them. For example, in loan rates and limits, we were all experiencing great difficulties. First we met with our Central Bank, then with our public banks, at TOBB. Later, new regulations were introduced. Hopefully, we expect it to reflect positively on the loan interest rate.”

In his speech, Hisarcıklıoğlu also gave the good news that they will build a school in Hopa.
