Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey

17.05.2022 / Çankırı

The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu visited Çankırı Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the visit, Hisarcıklıoğlu spoke with Council Members and listened to their problems.

Hisarcıklıoğlu, in his speech here, stated that Çankırı CCI is a 5-star accredited chamber that he is proud of, “What does a 5-star accredited chamber mean? Today, just as there are stars in hotels, there is a star system that measures the quality of service provided by the chambers, to be valid all over the world. An international accredited organization comes, measures the quality of service they provide, and provides it accordingly. Today, the quality of the service received by a member of our Çankırı Chamber of Commerce and Industry, whatever quality of service a merchant in Paris, Berlin and London receives service from his chamber, our Çankırı Chamber of Commerce and Industry provides the same quality of service.”

Pointing out that the chambers of commerce and industry are the main representation of merchants and industrialists, Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “During the pandemic, Turkey increased its exports by 40 billion dollars in one year. A record in our history. This is a great indicator of the flexibility of the Turkish business world and its adaptation to the conditions. While the world is reducing trade, the exports of each country are shrinking, our exports have increased by 40 billion dollars in a year. There is no such record in our history. You did this.”

Hisarcıklıoğlu, asking businessmen to include women in business life, said: “I ask you to include women in your work. If we want to enrich our country, our Çankırı, as fathers, there are not only boys, there are also girls. We have produced 1.8 million businessmen in a century. The way to prosper is through entrepreneurship. Whether you want as much raw material, oil, natural gas, gold. They enrich states, not people. The way for the people to prosper is through entrepreneurship. If we want to be rich, if we want our wealth to continue after us, let's get our women involved.”

Following the speech, plaques were presented to the most senior members of Çankırı CCI.
